Since the days of Babel never has the world been so integrated – economies are interlocked,
telecommunication webs have spread to the remotest regions, and cultures are converging into one
another. As in the days of Babel, man is once again moving toward unity without God. Such is a unity of
secular selfishness, inter-personal and inter-organizational conflicts, and group arrogance. As foretold, the
battle for the spirit of man has now reached a pivotal point. Christians must use all the powers of awareness
given to us to wage this battle with great understanding of the will of God. We must see the forces at work,
the future consequences, and the ways to influence the issues of our times.
